1C 1817 PCGS MS64BN N-4 NAFTZGER

We cannot say enough about this near miss MS65BN! We wish all earlier Large cents looked this good!

Sadly, there are more lines on the holder than the coin. Still, its easy to see how clean, smooth, and glossy the surfaces are. It boggles our minds how ORIGINAL and lustrous this coin is (remember its from 1817-194 years old)! There are NO spots. In the sales catalog the colors were described as “Glossy steel brown and chocolate with traces of slightly faded mint red.”. Miss Liberty and the details are exceedingly sharp in strike. The eye appeal is terrific! If this coin were in an MS65 holder, we would not cringe.

PCGS 36, NGC 13, CAC 2. This coin was lot 24 in the Naftzger sale. It brought $4,140.00. Opportunity knocks loud here for any serious Large Cent Collector.
