This is a Goloid Metric Dollar pattern that is stuck in copper. It is an R-7 (4-12 minted).
No question this is a fresh and totally ORIGINAL GEM. Both sides actually have mirrors with some depth and reflectivity. There are ZERO problems to be found. A wonderful ORIGINAL coloration/toning scheme of Mint Red/pale violet/pal blue/gold colors swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal of this SUPERB GEM is terrific!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. PCGS has graded 3 coins higher (we believe there are only 2 at most). Here is another rarity/reality check, the last one of these to SELL in a major auction brought $16,100.00 in 2005 Heritage (SIX YEARS AGO)! The Judd book values these at $22,000.00 in MS65. We do know this coin has been off the market since the 60’s! Opportunity knocks loud here!
