These COINS ($10 Liberty) are such difficult coins to find in TRUE choice or better conditions. We classify this coin as a “no brainer” to buy!!!
Typical to just about any $10 Liberty, there are just a few MINOR ticks that keep this coin from being a full MS65. The coin does have its fresh original “skin” and even traces of a semi-prooflike mirrors. There are NO major marks or discolorations. A strong luster shows off the beautiful orange/gold coloration. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The reverse is full MS65 quality. The eye appeal is exceptional!
PCGS 85 (2+), NGC 155 (0+), CAC 4 (total). Based upon what we just had to pay for an 1894 in PCGS MS65 ($23,000.00) an MS65 1897 would be about the same. This coin is definitely priced more than fair-and it has the quality!
