Having built the all time FINEST MS set of these (Simpson/Law) that happen to include one of the FINEST MS Bust H.10 that exists (the 1834), we know how these come and don’t come. This is one heck of an 1834!
A powerful beam luster can be seen from across the room. It certainly makes this little coin look huge. Only with a strong glass can you find any stray light lines that keep this coins from an MS67 designation. To the naked eye it looks perfect. The luster shows off neon like colors of ORIGINAL blue/green. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are sharply struck. There is an interesting die crack running down her bust. The eye appeal is like the quality: totally mind boggling!
PCGS 18, NGC 35, CAC 4. The last ones to appear in auction were 2 NON CAC coins in 2009 that both sold for $4,000.00, $4,100.00 Heritage. This is not a coin for you if you are looking to buy one cheap. This is a wild GEM that’s Super High End and is worthy of inclusion in the finest collection. Be glad this coin is not in auction!
