J-1403 20C 1875 PCGS PR65
$13,500.00
This is an R-6 (13-30 minted). This is a fabulous example of the rare Seashore design.
Deep and glittering mirrors have amazing clarity, depth, and of course reflectivity. Not a single problem can be found. Only some light lines can be detected when using a glass-which are the only reason we can see why its not a PR66. The color is a pretty olive/blue/golden brown/pale purple mix. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We believe this coin to be the second finest know-behind the Simpson specimen. There are NO auction records for a PCGS coin. Apparently an NGC coin (Probably now the Simpson PR66) sold for $10,925.00 in 04/2008 Heritage. The Judd book values these at $12,000.00. We know we hardly ever see these offered. And when we do, they are usually lesser grades and for what ever reason have been cleaned. Opportunity knocks so loud here!
