This is what an 1881CC GEM DMPL is supposed to look like!
Most important, the mirrors are fully 8″ deep, have tremendous clarity, and intense reflectivity. There are just a few very minute ticks and lines-but you really need a glass to find them. The brilliance of this piece is mind boggling. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick snow white frost. The grease stain on the cheek is Mint made and is on most 81CC’s. The eye appeal is very dramatic!
PCGS 44, NGC 14, CAC 3. The ONLY 81CC MS66 DMPL to sell in major auction this year was an NGC coin. It realized $11,500.00 1/2010 Heritage. This is definitely not that coin as this is in an older tag holder. Ex Mike Defalco estate.
