1C 1825 PCGS MS64+ RB NEWCOMB-STARR N-2

PCGS is out to lunch by not grading this coin an MS65RB. As a 64+ it is ULTRA HIGH END!

We think minor weakness in one or two stars gave PCGS all it needed to really under grade this GEM! Technically, this coin is all there and then some. The surfaces are smooth and have ZERO problems. A surprising strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL mellow RB colors (yes, there is some light visible). There are ZERO spots anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details overall are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is incredible!

PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher. NGC has ONLY one coin. Yes, this is the coin that sold in the sold in the Long Beach Heritage sale for $10,350.00. NOTE: One of the Naftzger coins in MS64BN sold for $12,075.00. We did resubmit it for an MS65RB (we did not crack it). It is that high end, but we make NO promise it will grade any higher.

Still, if you are a picky Large Cent specialist, and demand superior quality, you can’t ask for a better coin! And the rarity factor is off the charts!
