This is one amazing 1916 Standing Quarter. No question it has sat some where totally undisturbed since 1916. Its a coin you really have to see to believe!
Virtually flawless surfaces are slightly velvety and smooth. An intense luster shows off a light to moderate mix of gorgeous “old time” colors. Most of the obverse is lighter and could be in a lightly toned set. Miss Liberty and all of the details are exceptionally struck. Her head is full-although you do need a glass to see it in detail. THE eye appeal of this coin is phenomenal!
PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 3. In MS67 FH, these are grossly UNDER valued. The MS67+FH just sold for $195,500.00-and its the finest known. Why these are not $250,000.00 each (especially since MS67FB CAC Mercs sell for $195,500.00 and have a pop of 7) is beyond us. There are other coins as well that make this coin scream for more value.
