$1 1842 PCGS MS64

Having built the #1 and #2 all time FINEST MS Seated Dollar sets, we know how these coins come and what they should look like. We can tell you these coins in the 1840’s are hard to find and are even harder to find nice. This coin is nothing less than marvelous!

Only a few very teeny and scattered ticks from an MS65. To the naked eye, this coin appears clean. Both sides are covered by a ring of aqua blue/green on the rims which opens into champagne/golden brown centers. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. The luster is surprisingly strong. This an above average coin. The eye appeal is terrific-especially for an MS Seated Dollar.

PCGS 19, NGC 18, CAC 5. The last one to sell in a major public auction brought $9,775.00 1/07 Heritage. Keep in mind, there are NO MS65’s graded! We’d easily pay over $100,000.00 for an MS65 CAC coin. Also, do NOT be fooled by the pops. This is a hard to find date. We do not think 19 really exist in MS64!
