This is a high R6 (21-30 minted). It is a copper die trial for a test pattern. The quality is VERY high end.
The obverse is about 80% ORIGINAL MINT RD while the reverse is more subdued and has a brownish look (like it was kept on felt). Save for a toning spot or two, the mirrors are super clean. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 6, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only the NGC PR66 RB in the Simpson Collection is finer.
