This coin is a R7 (4-12 minted). It is a die trial of the Barber Standard Silver Pattern. It is struck in copper.
Save for one small toning spot in the right field, this coin is a stone bold gem! Both sides have clean, clear, and VERY reflective mirrors. A gorgeous mix of Mint RD/ green/violet colors all swirl around. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. The last one that was auctioned was back in 1999! It brought $2,185.00 then! A VERY seldom seen date.
