This is a R7 (4-12 minted). It is struck from silver. The regular H.10 reverse is used.
the only thing that keeps this coin from being a PR67-are two pinpoint planchet chips on the reverse. you definitely need a glass to find it. Otherwise, the mirrors are clean, clean, and have bold reflectivity. A mellow layer of champagne/golden brown evenly covers the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and fully struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There are NO auction records for ANY PR65’s or 66’s selling in the past 12 years. The Judd books lists this at $5,400.00 in PR65. This coin would make a great addition to any Pattern set or Half Dime set.
