This is an R-7 (4-12 minted). It is struck in copper.
The originality of this piece is unquestionable. Both sides have deep glittering mirrors that show off original faded mint red color. There is a small finger print in in the right obverse field that you need a glass to see. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is Superb!
PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 0. There are NO auction records for any PR 65RD coins. The Judd book lists a PR 65RD at $10,000.00. We know we have priced this impossible to find GEM at the right level!
