We had to own this coin again! It is a date and grade we NEVER see. Plus, we are madly in love with the condition of the coin!
Both sides are fully prooflike! There are NO problems anywhere. The luster is strong. An even mix of purple/navy/deep golden brown colors evenly swirl around. You can clearly see the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and thick creamy colored frosting. The eye appeal is bold.
Only 8000 coins were minted for circulation. PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only one coin finer. The last one of these to sell in major public auction prior to this coin, brought $12,650.00 in an ANR in 2006! The great rarity of this date can NOT be overstated.
