Hard to believe this die trial is a R-6 (31-75 minted). This piece is one fo the FINEST known-and is well worthy of its designation!
We think this coin has sat untouched for 140 years! How else could you explain its pristine and totally ORIGINAL GEM MINT RED color? The mirrors are strong, clean, clear, and do offer excellent reflectivity. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only the PR66 RD in the Simpson Collection is finer. Even in the other colors, we could only find 6 coins total listed in all grades. A much rarer coin that what it is listed at!
