J- 310 2C 1863 PCGS PR 64 DENALI COLLECTION

This is a R-7 (7-12 minted). Too bad the design was never adopted, it was a really good image of George Washington.

Very light and teenie toning spots adorn both sides. Otherwise, all you can detect with a super strong glass is a few scattered lines (which may even be from heavy die polishing). The mirrors are surprisingly strong and are NOT hazy. Both sides are a pleasing pale red/tan color. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only one coin higher. The last auction sale of one was 2006 Heritage where the coin sold for $8,050.00. An NGC coin just sold for $8,625.00 1/09 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here!
