This coin proves they could definitely make quality Proofs back in the 1850’s. Both sides offer stunning full mirrors that are actually reflective. There are NO problems to be found anywhere. The color is a mix of gorgeous brown/blue/pale violet colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!
Only 100 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 5, NGC 3, CAC 3. The last one to appear in major auction brought $6,900.00 Goldberg 09/09. Opportunity knocks loud here!
