This is a VERY nice $2.5 GEM Indian. There is no question about its originality.
Similar to Walkers, these coins have an area that’s always full of hits-the upper right reverse above the eagle. This coin is pretty much mark free there and all over. A strong luster shows off light but rich two tone colors of gold/orange gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 96, NGC 147, CAC 11. PCGS has graded only 3 coins higher (one of which sold at the ANA Mid winter auction for $37,375.00.
