Far superior to the typical flat and dull S Mint, this piece is a alive and sharp. Both sides are exceptionally clean and smooth. A decent luster shows off soft colors of lavender/golden brown. Miss Liberty and the details are crisp and fully struck. Even using a strong glass to review this coin with, you will NOT be disappointed! The eye appeal is beautiful!
PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 1. PCGS has graded ONLY 2 pieces higher. One is impounded in the Law/Simpson Collection we built-the all time FINEST KNOWN. The fact that after 20+ years of grading, there are only 2 coins higher and just 3 in GEM, proves how not so nice this coin comes. Even in MS64 PCGS has only graded 12 pieces.
There is NO record of ANY PCGS piece selling at a major auction in the past 10+ years. In 2005 an NGC coin sold for $3,450.00.Opportunity just can’t knock any louder!
