We have not owned or handled one of these in well over a year now. We have not seen any we liked.
No question this is a totally ORIGINAL GEM. Both sides are VERY clean. A microscopic tick can be found on the cheek ONLY if using a powerful glass. The reverse has some VERY light teenie flecks (no not enough to look like a finger print or anything like that). A strong luster also shows off the GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED COLOR. All of the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific!
This coin is housed in an older green tag PCGS holder.
PCGS 135, NGC 51, CAC 5. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $5,750.00 03/2010 B+M. And it was not CAC’d, but was Photo Sealed. The last one of these we bought in 2008, we paid $6,900.00 for. Opportunity knocks loud now!
