SONNIER COLLECTION (not on the holder). First, we grade this coin SUPER HIGH END. We actually resubmitted it twice seeking an MS65. Take our word on it, we paid a ton for it raw. This is the ONLY coin in the Sonnier Collection that we did not get the minimum grade we expected. Save for the coin in the Sunnywood/Simpson collection, we doubt you will EVER see another 81O as wildly toned.

The obverse looks like a volcano just erupted and spewed molton colors all over. Electric blue/green beams from thin bands at the rims and blands into electric violet/red then gold centers. These colors are the type you see on S Mints. We grade them MS68.8! The reverse has thin blue at the rims and light patches of golden brown scattered about.

An unusual intense headlight luster illuminates both sides. The surfaces appear clean overall (only under a strong glass can you see a few scattered ticks). Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck.

No kidding, this coin is an absolute MONSTER COLORED GEM. Had we gotten an MS65, we’d have valued this coin at $15,000.00. Try and find another like it, we sure haven’t seen any we recall.
