10C 1889S PCGS MS65

$8,750.00

When compared to some MS66 Seated Dimes, this coin deserves to be one. We can not identify a single reason why PCGS was so hard on it.

Both sides are incredibly impressive. There are NO major marks. You can detect light traces of die clashing (which is totally Mint made and acceptable). An intense luster shows off gorgeous blazing white centers that are framed by thin hint of gold around the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

We can not stress enough the great rarity of this coin. Recently, we bought an 1863S PCGS MS65 for $40,000.00-its also a pop 2 (and had an auction record of $43,000.00). While we do not think the 89S is a $40,000.00 coin, we do not understand why it is not a $15,000.00 pieces. It unquestionably has BOTH high end QUALITY and RARITY.

PCGS 2, NGC 6, CAC 1. PCGS has only one coin graded higher. This coins value is clearly a victim of none trading anytime recently. There have not been any in any major auctions in the past 10 years! If you are a high quality Seated Dime collector, then this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!
