5C 1885+1886 PCGS MS66

UNBELIEVABLE! Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer the two rarest and most quality oriented coins in the Liberty Nickel series-the 1885+1886 both in PCGS MS66 CAC.

It was a total fluke we were able to buy them. These have NOT been on the market or in any auction. These are fresh. The quality of each coin is unbelievable!

The 1885: This coin is a MONSTER. It has smooth and satiny surfaces that are super clean. The luster in amazing and is nearly blinding (and is original too). both sides are evenly bathed in monster pale but neon like nickel blue/pale lilac colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and is clearly fully struck. You do not need a glass to the full corn stalk. The eye appeal is just totally jaw dropping! PCGS 15, NGC 14, CAC 2. Yes, there are a few others graded, but GUARANTEED, they do NOT look anywhere near like this!

The 1886: Where in the world did this killer come from? It is the most perfect 1886 we have EVER seen! No question this coin is an original MS and not a proof. Both sides have satiny surfaces that do offer hints of semi-prooflike mirrors. The luster is surprisingly strong. There are no problems visible. A light layer of golden toning can be detected. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 6, NGC 4, CAC 2. We have always disagreed with the pops. We have only ever seen ONE other MS66-and we hardly even see MS65’s. There are ZERO auction records for ANY PCGS MS66’s-that has to be the most powerful statement about a coins rarity there can be.

We are only selling these two monster GEMs as a pair. They are so above and beyond what you see, they deserve to remain together in our opinion! This may be the opportunity of a life time for Lib Nickel specialist.
