1C 1805 PCGS MS62BN

$11,000.00

This is a duplicate we were able to purchase from one of the major collectors of Large Cents who also happened to be a major buyer at the Holmes and Naftzger Sales. This used to the #1 1805 he had.

If you covered up the grade on the holder, you sure would be thinking its better than an MS62BN! Both sides are extraordinarily clean, smooth (a problem free planchet) and it has remarkable luster for a coin that’s 204 years old. There are NO spots. The color is a beautiful deeper brown with highlights of pale olive. Miss Liberty and the details appear boldly with very sharp strikes. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop!

The great rarity of this date in true MS can not be overstated. PCGS 8, NGC 5, CAC 1. PCGS has graded only 5 coins higher in BN. IN RB they have only an MS62+MS65. Of course there are NO reds.

We don’t just think, we KNOW this coin represents incredible value.
