LOT 659 NAFTZGER. Virtually FULL Mint Red. Had it been grade RD, we doubt there would be many complaints.
An intense Morgan Dollar like luster blazes from both sides. The color is 90% full ORIGINAL Mint Red. There are some light hints of faded steel brown. Only one teenie spot can be seen below the cheek. The surfaces are flawless. You do not need a glass to see the needle sharp strike of the details. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!
PCGS 5, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS does have one coin graded higher (another Naftzger coin).
The catalog states that this coin is the plate coin for Q. David Bowers new book on Half Cents and Large Cents. It is well deserved!
