$20 1862S PCGS AU53 BROTHER JONATHAN

To this day we regret not buying more of these coins at the original auction back in 1999. The majority of them have been reprocessed and have been upgraded. We have NEVER cracked one and strongly believe in keeping them preserved in their original holders.

Of course this coin is VERY high end for the grade. The surfaces reveal nothing more than a few light lines and very teenie ticks. There are NO marks that distract. Both sides are a deeper yellow gold and do NOT look messed with (even though ALL of them were conserved), or like it was on the bottom of the ocean for along time. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck too. The eye appeal is fabulous!

This coin is housed in ORIGINAL holder 172-with an image of the ship in the background. This is a date we seldom see offered but maybe once a year. PCGS 43, NGC 118, CAC 1. This is NOT a coin you buy based upon any WHOLESALE price guides. It is a genuine coin from a real treasure ship!
