Outside of GEM Chain Cents, GEM PR Large Cents are the caviar of copper! We have always compared them to GEM PR Gold. The survival rates are ridiculously low and its hard to find specimens in full GEM.
The proof mirrors are spectacular. On both sides they are deep, clear, clean, and have amazing reflectivity. Using a strong glass we see no imperfections. A very neat color combination of ORIGINAL brown/hazy gold/green/pale mint red swirls gorgeously on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are as fully struck up as you will EVER see for a Large Cent. The eye appeal is spectacular!
Only 238 were minted. PCGS 10, NGC 5, CAC 1. In BN, only PCGS has graded one higher. The last auction record we could find for one was back in 02/09, $9,487.00 Heritage. Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer this neat rarity.
