An exceptionally rare and undervalued date in choice and higher condition.
Seldom do we encounter totally original examples of the early 40’s dates that are so choice and original. A surprising strong enhances a beautiful mix of golden brown/blue/pale purple colors that are evenly spread across both sides. Only if you use a strong glass can you find any smallish ticks-they are not really visible to the naked eye. For identification purposes, there is a small toning dot in the left obverse field. The eye appeal of this coin is fabulous!
The great rarity of these in choice and higher is unquestioned. PCGS 5, NGC 7 WITH NONE HIGHER AT EITHER SERVICE! CAC 3. If a PCGS MS65 CAC were ever made, we’d gladly pay OVER $100,000.00 for it!
