If you look at this coin real quick, it reminds you of the specimen “proof” CC’s that are around (like the 91CC PCGS MS68PL or the 1884CC PROOF). Its hard to imagine how this coin remained so perfect for 126 years!
Full 4″ mirrors have both great clarity and depth. Even with a layer of moderate toning consisting of champagne/golden brown/blue/russet colors, this coin still offers tremendous flash. Miss Liberty and the details are boldly struck. Her cheek is rounded and clean. You can tell this coin has NOT been messed with in anyway. The eye appeal is neat!
