We have always called this date the silent “stopper” for the series. When you need a nice one, try and find one!
The quality of this piece is above average and is VERY high end. It is also totally original. Only a few very teenie and trivial ticks are scattered about. NONE stand out to the naked eye. Both sides are fully prooflike and have an intense luster. The color is a beautiful orange gold. There are NO discolorations or spots. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is absolutely fantastic!
Only 1468 were ever minted. PCGS 11, NGC 6. PCGS has graded only 15 coins higher. On our system, the auction records show the last one selling for $23,000.00 1/06 Heritage. Even an NGC coin sold for $20,413.00 05/08 Heritage. We bought this magnificent coin really right and will pass along the savings to you!
