The great rarity of this date in Choice and beyond is unquestionable. The only other pieces we have ever owned or handled was an MS63 and that back in 2006 and an MS66 years ago!
Phenomenal surfaces are both super clean and blaze with an incredibly strong luster. One or two teenie toning spots are visible if you look hard. Both sides are evenly blanketed by a light mix of lavender/pale blue/gold colors. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details boldly stand out with sharp strikes. The eye appeal of this GEM is great!
PCGS 3, NGC 3. PCGS has graded ONLY 2 higher of which one is in our all time finest #1 registry set (see the Law Collection listing). There are NO auction records for this date in GEM MS65. Published bids are ridiculous. At the level we are offering this coin at, we think its a steal!
