The last one of these we bought was back in 2007-for $8,625.00 (it had killer colors). Prior to that we had purchased a similar coin to this for $2,990.00. How times have changed and how Commem prices have corrected.
Both sides of this coin are evenly covered by a moderate mix of purple/golden brown/lavender/deep pewter colors that are totally original. The surfaces are clearly visible and show zero imperfections. The luster is decent. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and appears boldly. The eye appeal is very pleasing.
