$1 1873S PCGS MS64

One of the more unsung dates and grades in a very undervalued series. Having built the all time finest ever MS Trade Dollar set (The Legend Collection) we know what exists and what does not. We also know what various dates should look like.

This coin is most definitely HIGH END for the grade. Only a tiny tick or two (and line) is scattered about the obverse. There are NO visible problems to the naked eye. An interesting color combination of deep champagne/pale purple swirls all over both sides. The devices and rims are framed by a rich blue color. An intense luster shows off the color and the crisp exceptional strike. Miss Liberty really does stand out. The eye appeal is beautiful!

PCGS 25, NGC 16. PCGS has graded only 4 coins higher (our coin is the lone MS66). Not all of the M64’s will CAC-we have seen most of them. Opportunity knocks loud for the serious MS Trade Dollar Collector. Next step up costs about $25,000.00 -if you can even find one!
