J-0168 ORIGINAL 1855 PCGS PR 65BN

We love these large Flying Eagle patterns. We always buy them if they are nice. this time, this R-4 coin (mintage 76-200) is BETTER than nice!

Interestingly, the mirrors on both sides are actually some what flashy. Typically, we see very little reflectivity. Overall, the surfaces are remarkably clean. There are NO spots anywhere. The color is a mix of chocolate/pale violet/golden brown/pale purple/some blue. All of the details are needle sharp in strike. The Eagle really stands out boldly. The eye appeal is fantastic. If you love the Flying Eagle design, this GEM is your dream coin!

Do not let the assumed mintage fool you, these are very rare coins. PCGS 4, NGC 0 (which we think is a mistake). Even in RB, PCGS has graded only 3 w/NONE higher. The 2009 Judd book values these at $8,000.00 in PR65. Here you have an awesome design that could have been that is also a PR Large Cent. ANY GEM PR 1855 Large Cent is worth at least $10,000.00 (and the pops are 4 for the Pattern, 3 for a Large Cent)-these should be too!
