Even Naftzger himself graded the coin MS70 FULL RED (its one the small paper holder that comes with the coin). The great rarity of ANY ORIGINAL GEM RED Large Cent PRE 1850 can never be over stated!
PCGS was totally accurate on grading this piece. Overall, it is incredibly clean-save for a few OLD small ticks. The surfaces are unquestionably full original GEM MINT RED. Any spots you see are really only visible to the camera and not to the naked eye. They are toning spots, not any PVC. A very neat die crack runs through all the stars on the obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is exactly like the quality of this coin-AMAZING!
PCGS has graded only 10 pieces (which we do not think is right) with 7 higher. Even so, few will have the originality or the pedigree that this coin offers. We are pleased to offer this numismatic treasure to our customers. This is a coin you keep forever!
