3CS 1863 PCGS PR66 CAMEO

We recently replaced this coin from our ALL time #1 set on the PCGS registry. Somewhere up in heaven Picasso is giving the thumbs up to mother nature. This piece is one of her best works for a 3CS.

Incredibly deep, crystal clear, clean,and powerfully reflective mirrors glow from both sides. A neon like mix of original gold/pearl green/amber/pale violet /blue colors swirl vividly on the obverse. The reverse has an even more mind boggling circular pattern of the same colors. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and displays strong frost. You can see the colors glowing from across the room. This coin has the ultimate in jaw dropping eye appeal!

Only 460 minted. PCGS 2, NGC 2. There are only 2 in PR67Cameo-one is in our FINEST EVER #1 registry set (which we paid $15,000.00 for ), while the other is now locked away in a Type set (sale price OVER $10,000.00). So if you seek a wildly colored 1863 cameo, this may be your only opportunity for some time. The only auction record for this date we could find shows one sold for $10,925.00 06/04 Heritage-and this is NOT the same coin as offered here (nor is it either of the PR67’s).
