As many of you know, now that the telemarketers have left this area, we have been huge fans of ALL GEM Indian gold. So as long as they don’t come back and ruin the pricing, we’ll be buying and selling gorgeous pieces like this.
No question this coin is a stone GEM. The surfaces are clean overall save for a tiny scattered tick or two that are visible only with a glass. A full booming luster shows off a pretty light orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are sharply struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is wonderful!
This date is NOT anywhere near as common as a 1908 (pop 155). PCGS 38, NGC 41. There are NONE graded higher by PCGS or NGC. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $21,275.00 02/08 Goldberg. Since this is not an auction, you have the benefit of being able to buy this great handpicked GEM for less!
