We do not under why BOTH PCGS and CAC (they could have gold stickered it) don’t think this coin deserves to be a higher grade. There is absolutely nothing visually wrong!
the ONLY issue we could find-and we had to use a strong glass, was a few wispy light lines. The surfaces are clearly stone original and have no putty and never were dipped. A strong luster shows off a beautiful even gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is incredible!
PCGS 8, NGC 10. We did buy this coin from a major “crackout” dealer who had tried it more than once for a MS64 (at NGC). So we do not believe the pops are correct. We are definitely not over hyping this coins quality. It is impossible for a finer MS63 to exist! Most likely this is the NGC coin that sold for $11,500.00 05/08 Stacks. Their loss is your collections heck of a gain!
