25C 1839 NO DRAPERY PCGS MS64

We recently bought this coin from a collector. It took all of 2 seconds to know we liked the coin-a lot! We think we sold it to him a long time ago-but can’t find the records.

This is an absolutely totally ORIGINAL piece. Both sides have that original “old time” looking toning mix of olive/deep pewter/pale golden brown. It is definitely NOT a dull coin. We have seen so many of these scrubbed up or over graded. The surfaces are surprisingly clean and and do emit a decent light luster. Miss Liberty and the details stand out with very strong strikes. The eye appeal is VERY nice!

Do NOT be fooled as to how rare this coin is. The pops are PCGS 10, NGC 5, however PCGS only has 2 MS65’s and one MS66! The last one of these to sell at a major public auction brought $9,775.00 1/09 Heritage. Prior to that, none have been in auction since 2007!
