We have had this coin sitting on our desk for a few weeks. We think it is a heavy shot to MS67-but we know the services are extra tight, so why bother?
No BS, this coin really is a 66.9+++. The surfaces are microscopic clean and emit a powerful luster. There is some minor die clashing visible (remember that is Mint made). Some ultra light golden brown toning appears on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have light frost. Compare this to ANY other MS66 and you will immediately see it is way superior. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 29, NGC 13. The last one of these in major public auction sold for $1,495.00 03/08 Heritage (it is NOT this coin).
