J-0446 $5 1865 PCGS PR64 BN
$8,950.00
BRANDON COLLECTION. Very cool, a PR $5 struck in copper. This is a R-6 (12-30 minted).
Super high end quality. We do not see why PCGS insists on grading this coin only a PR64. The surfaces are impeccably clean. Both sides have light mirrors that have NO haze or spotting. The color is a beautiful original moderate chocolate w/gold/pale blue highlights. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. This coin standout wonderfully and looks like a GEM PR Copper piece.
If this were a regular PR $5 1865 Gold piece, it would have a mintage of only 25 and would WHOLESALE for $50,000.00. Yes, here you have a slightly higher high mintage, but the price is ‘stupid cheap”. PCGS 2, NGC 1. PCGS /NGC each have a PR65. NGC has 5 PR66’s BN. We strongly believe the potential this coin offers is staggering. We doubt you’ll ever see even 50 of these (total) surface. Opportunity knocks loud here!
