BRANDON COLLECTION. This is an high R-7 (about 7 minted). It is struck in copper.
An interesting design. This piece just has a few light toning stains, otherwise it is very clean. The mirrors are very shallow and offer little reflectivity (as typical to the date). Both sides are a totally original deeper chocolate/coppery color. All of the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal actually IS VERY NICE!
The rarity is undisputed. After 20+ years of operations, PCGS and NGC COMBINED have certified ONLY a TOTAL of THREE (yes, just 3 pieces) in ALL grades! Only a PCGS PR64 and a NGC PR 66 are higher. We can’t stress enough how this will be one of the few-if not the ONLY change a collector may have at obtaining this pattern. NOTE: This coin is in its old PCGS green tag holder. It was acquired by Brandon in 1989! PCGS 1, NGC 0.
