25C 1857S PCGS MS64

We purchased this coin from a longtime collector who owned it raw and just submitted it at the Long Beach Show to PCGS for the first time (it has NEVER been to NGC). We all know how “tight” PCGS was grading there too. This coin has never been in any known auction. It is of unquestionable SUPER HIGH END QUALITY.

Upon first sight, this coin blows you away with a full booming intense luster. Only a few teenie ticks are visible with a powerful glass in the right obverse field. Everything else about this coins quality is of full GEM status. An even moderate mix of original champagne/lavender/blue/purple/pale rose colors swirl across both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is not dull and is totally fantastic! If you don’t like this coin, then your demands are totally insane!

The great rarity of this coin can NOT be overstated. The ONLY MS64 to appear in any major auction, was an NGC coin that sold in the DLRC Richmond Sale back in 2005 for $8,338.00. NO PCGS PIECES HAVE EVER APPEARED AT AUCTION IN MS64. In Heritages Long Beach Sale a nice PCGS MS63 sold for $10,925.00. PCGS 3, NGC 3. ONLY NGC has graded one coin higher-and MS66.
