BUCKEYE II COLLECTION. WOW! This coin definitely is special. It is as nice, or nicer than some later commoner dates we have seen over the years graded PR65.
To start, the mirrors are strong, incredibly clean, clear, and do have decent flash. There are no distractions anywhere to catch your eye. A moderate layer of olive/blue/purple/gold covers most of the obverse. The reverse is light reddish gold. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is fantastic!
Only 20 pieces were ever minted. Thats as rare as a 1894S 10C (which obviously would sell for $2,000,000.00 in this grade)! We do not believe the pops are correct for this date in Proof. PCGS 1, NGC 6. Only NGC has graded 2 coins higher. This piece has not been on the market in a few years or in any recent auction.
