$1 1856 PCGS MS62

$10,000.00

Having built the all time finest ever MS Seated Dollar Collection, we do know what each date comes like. not only are 1856’s undervalued, they hardly ever come nice. That fully explains why the finest graded is only an MS64-and there are only 2.

We unhesitatingly grade this coin an MS62.9! PCGS probably got spooked by the slightly irregular toning and they haven’t seen enough of these to know how to accurately grade them. We make no guarantees this coin will ever MS63, but some one sure has to tell us why it is not. The surfaces are extremely clean and do emit a decent luster. There simply are NO major detractions anywhere. The toning is a deeper pewter and is slightly mottled. it is totally original and is NOT dark or drab. Most important, Miss Liberty’s head is FULLY struck and all of the details are sharp. If you are picky and are building and extremely choice set, this coin IS the one for you! good luck on finding another. PCGS 9, NGC 4. PCGS has graded 12 coins higher (of which we think about 3 are duplicated).

As far as pricing: there are NO accurate prices for ANY MS Seated Dollars. They are too rare and the price guides can’t track any trades. We would gladly pay at least $15,000.00 sightUNSEEN for any PCGS MS63 that is stickered. You can offer us a 64 (which is impossible since both are placed) and we would happily pay $22,000.00 sightUNSEEN (MUST BE PCGS and CAC stickered).
