Cool-a minute 3CN pattern that was tested to see if could be a 1C design. Now this is numismatic history at its best!
This is an R-4 which means 76 to 100 pieces were minted.
We haven’t seen many, but this coin is wonderful representative for this never to be minted design. Both sides are deeply mirrored and have no imperfections visible. The flash is terrific. Miss Liberty and the details boldly frosted and have sharp strikes. PCGS 0, NGC 3. These just seem so stupid cheap for their rarity and historical perspective.
