J-1591 25C 1879 PCGS PR-65 RB

Hard to believe this is just a rarity 6 (13-30 known). We do know, at one time, this particular coin was in an NGC PR65RD Cameo holder. It has mellowed a little over time.

This is one MONSTER of a Wash lady! We never see mirrors so crystal clear, deep, or anywhere near as reflective. The cleanliness is amazing too-the “spots” you see are actually teenie toning dots. The color is about 85% original Mint RD. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and fully struck. If you set of a huge firecracker, then you’d get the same effect as looking at this monster! Too bad this design was never adopted. PCGS 2, NGC 0. There are two NGC PR66’s-of which we swear this coin will match or exceeding in BOTH quality and eye appeal.
