1C 1856 FE PCGS PR-65

We last bought and sold one of these about a year ago. Really nice examples do not appear with any frequency. We were thrilled to have been able to buy this lovely GEM.

For an 1856, this piece actually has lightly mirrored surfaces. There are a few trivial flecks and lines-visible ONLY with a glass. The coin is definitely high end for an 65. Both sides are a beautiful ORIGINAL tan/golden brown/pale coppery color. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. This is a gorgeous 1856 FE. PCGS 49, NGC 27.
