50C 1867 PCGS MS-65

We don’t understand why PCGS did not grade this remarkable GEM an MS66. It has the looks and seems to have all the qualities. To start, both sides are super satiny and clean. A strong luster also shows off the beautiful colors of purple/blue/pale lime/gold that swirl about the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. You can see a strong coating of rich frost. The overall eye appeal is gorgeous! The tremendous rarity of this date and grade are undisputed. After 20+ years and million of coins graded, the pop numbers clearly reflect this. PCGS 4 w/2 higher, NGC 1/NONE higher. Opportunity knocks loud here for the serious Seated Half specialist.
