What a great and totally ORIGINAL GEM coin this is!
As we said in the headline, its 60% GEM ORIGINAL Mint red. Both sides are exceptionally clean. There are NO spots, however some light toning offers a few dots. There is a surprisingly strong luster (for a 1854). Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 14, NGC 17, CAC 7. The last PCGS piece to sell in major auction brought $2,185.00 02/2010 Heritage (we may very well have been the buyer)! This coin offered here is fresh to the market. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, these are RARE coins!
